10/7/2023 0 Comments Rstudio mac m1I receive the following output: > library(reticulate)Įrror: Valid installation of TensorFlow not found. In R I then run the following in a new session: library(reticulate) Thus, for the moment, the problem is solved.I am trying to get tensorflow up and running in R but several attempts have failed. I opened RStudio this afternoon to do a bit more troubleshooting and now sqldf is loading with no problems. I can also in many cases use data.table functionality rather than sqldf but I find executing SQL commands with sqldf more natural for me than the data.table functionality.Įdit (Jun 15): Very weird. As a stopgap, I can use command line R with BBEdit but prefer to use a proper IDE. Has anyone else seen this or similar problem with RStudio on M1 Mac?Ī parallel question: is there a good substitute for RStudio which works better on M1 Macs? Note: I just bought a Mac Studio and would like to do R development on that as well. Loading proto first then trying to load gsubfn also hangs. If I try to load gsubfn directly, it hangs on loading required package proto. However, when I now try to load sqldf, the R session in RStudio hangs while loading required package gsubfn. If I start a new R session within RStudio, I can load proto directly. Whenever, I try to load sqldf, required package gsubfn appears to load successfully but while trying to load the second required package (proto), the R session in R Studio hangs. ![]() However, when running RStudio, I could only load the first four. Using command line R, I I was able to install and load all of these packages. ![]() I then installed the first few packages I need for my development: data.table, stringr, yaml, RPostgres, and sqldf. I therefore installed R 4.2.0 () for Mac with Arm 64 and RStudio 2022.02.3 (Build 492). I now have a need to do R development on a personal M1 MacBook Pro. ![]() I have been using RStudio at work for many years on Intel Macs and Linux.
